Victory For Counterpoint
The manifesto of the Campaign for Courtesy is addressed by the scintillating Harry Hutton, here.
UPDATE: I don’t usually hold with attempts to subvert Google, but I’ll make an exception for someone trying to make the best of being ranked 23rd in searches for “British National Party“.
Actually, Olly, a Briton named David Thompson beat you to the punch: In 1811, he came to the Columbia Gorge and placed a small wooden sign in the ground which read, Know hereby that this country is claimed by Great Britain as part of its territories . Now, it should be noted that he was acting on behalf of a British fur trapping company and not the country, and the sign was intended to dissuade competitors from encroaching on his land, where he intended to build a factory.
Youre doing too little too late, my friend.
I’m working on it, Harry. Thanks for the link.
Though, thinking about it, Oregon never was a colony of ours.
Whatever.
Thanks for that. I’ve put you on the Killer
Fact blogroll, under Revolted Colonies.
Right on, Mr. Hutton, right on.
