Next Time, Punch Him When He Doesn’t Have His Helmet On

Fellow NFL fans probably remember last Sunday’s hilarious Chargers/Broncos game starring Jake “The Snaaaaaaake” Plummer and LaDainian Tomlinson. Well at the end of the game, Chargers defensive lineman (and Oregon alum) Igor Olshansky punched Broncos Center Tom Nalen after Nalen had tried to cut block him in the knees on a spike play. It’s no surprise that Igor would react so vehemently to such a dirty play– he had arthroscopic knee surgery about a month ago . Anyway, here’s a video:

Anybody up for some pickup basketball today?

  2. Anthony says:

Igoooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrr. That is how you do it! Next time I want a flying elbow to the back of the head too, real quality like. Like on the old WWF with Macho Man Randy Savage.

  3. Timothy says:

  5. […] Ian at Oregon Commentator is taken aback by Nalen’s dirty play. […]

  6. Niedermeyer says:

Don’t despair Ian… I bet the Raiders would let your Saints have Aaron Brooks back if they ask nicely enough.

  7. Ian says:

I think I can safely say that the Saints are bad this year. They’re just not as bad as usual since they apparently have a competent coach. Which, yeah, is probably why I’m ripping on the Broncos. It’s either this or rant about my mancrush on Tomlinson.

  8. Niedermeyer says:

…untill the Ricky Williams led Toronto Argonauts beat the Dolphins

  9. Olly says:

And here I was thinking that the Saints’ triumphant ascension to not-bad-ness would give you something else to focus on this year. Give me a break, and let’s just prepare for the very real possibility of Joey Harrington winning in Detroit this Thursday, and the subsequent destruction of Ford Field by anguished Lions fans.

  10. Ian says:

And yes, the main reason I posted this is because Olly is a Broncos fan.
