Sara Benincasa Has Joined Huffington Post!

I’m proud to announce that one of my favorite comedians, and Palin impersonator, Ms. Benincasa, has been picked up by the Huffington Post to have her Palin videos featured in their comedy section 23/6.

While this video isn’t their funniest (it’s funny, but there are much better skits), I just loved this improvised line:

“Come on! People are going out getting raped right and left, I won’t… I can’t pay for all of that, we’ve got an arena to build!”

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

  1. Olly says:

Dubya: “Well good, I lured Olly out of hiding. Its your fault I started reading this thing anyway.”

    You’re welcome?

Dubya: “What is the use of public comment boards if not to troll and drone on incessantly about the glaring flaws of our elected representatives?” (emph. added)

This is actually a completely valid point.

  2. Sakaki says:

    Dubya, go here: http://tinyurl.com/5nx7te

This is the Fairbanks News-Miner, dated August 18th, 2008, showing Ron Paul endorsed Don Young.

The other thing, the funneling of money to family members, comes in the form of paying off for fundraisers, etc. as per such:

  3. Dubya says:

Sakaki, you must have Ron Paul confused with Ted Stevens. May I direct you to that the internet is a series of tubes and your argument got detoured to the bathroom Larry Craig is “wide stancing” in.

This got off point (obviously)… no idea what CJ and Vincent are off spinning about… My argument was that I am glad that no one on the staff is an

  4. Vincent says:

    They totally sold out, dude.

  5. Sho says:

[Name of magazine/band/TV show] is not as good as it was [# of years] ago.

  6. Vincent says:

CJ is now our official Out of Control Nutcase Religious Right-Winger. I’m not sure if that goes in the masthead or not.

  7. CJ Ciaramella says:

  8. Sakaki says:

Dubya, are we talking about the same Ron Paul who endorsed and gave money to one of the greatest pork-men of Alaska, a man named Don Young? The same Ron Paul who gave his money from fundraising for campaigns to his family members?

If that is the same Ron Paul, I want America to have nothing to do with him. He is nothing but a two-bit congressional thief who likes to load up his district with pork.

He’s no better than the rest of the arseholes up there on Capitol Hill.

But now we’re getting off on tangents.

  9. Dubya says:

More importantly… this article was SO BAD, that after four years of reading the Commentator and the comment posts.. even the ones starring Deb Frisch.. I had to finally make some snarky asinine comments on this fine website. Have you no decency madame?

  10. Dubya says:

Well good, I lured Olly out of hiding. Its your fault I started reading this thing anyway. What is the use of public comment boards if not to troll and drone on incessantly about the glaring flaws of our elected representatives? Type “Obama” into Microsoft outlook… it tries to correct the spelling to Osama… conspiracy? I think not.

On to the more important point… conservatives secretly cringe when we see Palin do… anything.. but that merely outlines how fundamentally worse the alternative choice is. If only Ron Paul had been an attractive 40 year old woman… oh how things would have been…

  11. Vincent says:

I’m not sure who on the staff currently qualifies as being party of the “out of control nutcase religious right”, but as you were… as you were.

  12. T says:

Olly, DON’T PANIC!!! My phone died and my charger is at work. This shall be our new means of communication — until it pisses everyone off.

    Communique out.

  13. Olly says:

“The Commentator USED to be a place where readers could be safe from the insane – social/communist left and the out of control nutcase religious right.”

Four years ago, back when reasonable people (like, uh, me) were posting. And during that time if anyone on staff posted the term “Obama-bin-Biden” unironically they would have spent the next several weeks being pelted with fruit.

“…it might seem like I am trolling.”

    No shit.

  14. Oh mah goodness! Michelle! Thank you so much for putting this up!

  15. Timothy says:

I am not sure if the Mission Statement condones reading Huffington Post.

  16. Michelle Haley says:

I suppose I should clarify that the intent of this post was to celebrate the fact that one of my favorite comedians is now getting paid for her work, not that any one side is better than another. Seems like a slight overreaction. . .

  17. Dubya says:

I forgot to add, because it might seem like I am trolling. Please raise my taxes because I do not pay my “FAIR” share. The ~40% of my salary that goes to pay for terrible programs, wars in useless faraway countries that hate us, 6-figure salaries for public employees, aid for countries that the people hate us, ineffective social programs, ineffective financial trickery ripe with moral hazzard – “bailouts/ toxic asset purchases”, subsidies for millionaire farmers when grain and commodity prices are at historic highs… etc.

The Commentator USED to be a place where readers could be safe from the insane – social/communist left and the out of control nutcase religious right. Might as well drink the Kool-aid and go hang out with the Obama-bin-Biden camp.

  18. Dubya says:

Wow…. Thanks for this informative advertisement/ “article”. I’ve been reading the Commentator for a good four years now. I must have missed the bulletin about changing to format to mirror Daily Kos. I was under the mistaken impression that this was the Libertarian/Conservative campus newspaper. Apparently the old dirty has been pulled so far left that the Commentator had to as well. If I wanted to read a bunch of left-wing propaganda I could turn on a variety of cable news channels (all except FNC) or open any newspaper (except the WSJ).

I guess there is no reason to impersonate Obamba/Biden… one can just close their eyes and imagine any cookie-cutter liberal from the last 20 years… what a “change”!
