Blount Force Trauma, Part 2

I’ve recently been informed by a source that wished to remain anonymous that LaGarrett Blount’s interaction with fans at Boise St. was less than honorable–and not just on Blount’s side.

Apparently upon exiting the stadium, Blount was threatened to have objects thrown at him by several fans, including chairs. Blount was also called several racial slurs, including “Stupid N-gger” several times.

No word yet on what kind of action Boise St. plans to take for it’s fans in the sections involved with the altercation with Blount, but for the sake of their program’s respect I hope they at least bring some kind of justice to the situation. One would think that kind of action would not be tolerated in the conduct code of Bronco Stadium.

About China…..it seems to me the Ducks have some kind of exhibition game planned there coming up. I wonder if the Chinese officials are now reconsidering the wisdom of inviting the Ducks over. After all, some kind of anarchist Duck meltdown could spiral into something that would topple the government over there.

What about his zen buddhist vacation to China?

What a thug, get on the first plane out of here and go visit your kids in Florida.

  3. Timothy says:

Nah, he hangs around for another couple of years and he’ll end up in Dallas. Then he’ll get released and go play in Canada.

    He said – They said.

The Ducks are lucky a full scale stampede did not occur after the punch.

ESPn reported that a NFL scout claimed that Blount’s Pro career went from a first day draft pick to a undraftable player in 5 minutes. He may have made our university look bad, but he is missing out on millions.

You are right, however, about Boise St. needing to punish really anyone who was involved in inflaming the situation. I hadn’t thought about the guys on the big screen, but Boise St. should definitely be taking that into consideration.

In all, what a disaster (including the game, no?).

    I don

  9. Curtis says:

I don’t know how much of a secret that info is – most of the game reports that I saw about the incident mentioned not only Blount’s claim about a fan with a chair, but also that he was hit in the face by one of them. The replays I’ve seen are by no means definitive, but if Blount was hit in the face, it was likely when he charged toward the fans on his was out.

The chair part is more confusing. Where would the fans get a chair – they were sitting in bleachers. It’s not like the WWE where there are just steel chairs laying around everywhere.

If Boise State is going to dole out punishments for actions taken during that game, they also need to talk to their video guys who replayed “the punch” several times on the Jumbotron from what I’ve read. At a certain point you’re just needlessly stoking the fire at a time when everything is pretty volatile anyway.
