Umm … define “take over our lives”. I would make the claim that we already have become slaves to technology … unless you mean this in the literal sense, and envision either a Terminator or Matrix-like future.

Haha, I just hope technology doesn’t take over our lives. When our generation runs the show, I think our society will change forever. Not to mention we will be cyborgs if we figure out a way by then.

I interpreted the video as a kind of tounge-in-cheek artistic expression of taking cutting-edge and “primitive” technology, and then spinning them out to the absurd. After all, the tagline in the video stated “This is an exploration of what is possible, not necessarily what is practical.” Besides, this wasn’t Apple doing this – this was just one guy making a tribute video.

I think someone’s just angry because their mom didn’t get them an iPad for their birthday …
