It looks like there’s going to be a new newspaper in Eugene that’s probably going to stir things up. If anything, he’ll at least be a better read than the Eugene Weekly.

Awesome, more hippie ranting for people to take as gospel. It doesn’t matter where it falls on the political spectrum, no weekly paper in Eugene is actually quality.
Yeah, personally I prefer the apologetic kind. I’ve had a couple history profs like that: “Sorry, but I’m just an old socialist. Can’t help it.” The best thing about an apologetic socialist historian is that, by asking the right question, you can elicit an apology for Howard Zinn.
Yeah, it’s true that the AVA Oregon is going to make the EW look like the American Spectator in comparison, but it’s good to see that Eugene is going to have a new media outlet.
I think Cockburn’s encomium ran in the R-G last (school?) year. I’m not that optimistic. The last thing I want to see is the Weekly being outflanked on the left, for fuck’s sake.
