Incoherent Ramblings

Not much happening in the national news that I can find. Other than a somewhat intruiging article in the Chicago Sun-Times about possible dissent in the Republican ranks. Actually, I take back my former statement, the recent resignation of a Mr. Steven Case, of AOL-merger fame, has brought many questions to the table. I myself find the possibilities to be very exciting, especially considering they just released the new and utterly fantastic, as always, AOL 8.0. Anyway, back to the point, I found an interesting story about a possible AOL spin-off, though sadly no news about that rumored Enron spin-off. I’m sorry folks, I guess you’ll just have to wait until next season to see if they actually do that.

In local news, Eugene has become relatively warmer today and is lacking of the 8:00 morning fog that I was growing accustomed to waking myself up to for the always enjoyable J203, taught by the remarkably outstanding Mr. Duncan McDonald. But enough about the weather.

I found a new issue of the Oregon Voice today, and found that their backpage was actually amusing, sadly they lack a current website. So instead of seeing this amusing backpage, just picture what the Commentator would do if it created a drinking game for geeks with a D8 and a D4. I must say the rest of the issue was rather poor and the cover gave the misguided impression that it was geek-themed.

To go along with this miracle of miracles from the Voice, the Ol’ Dirty had a surprising editorial in support of college atheletes forming a union which I’m guessing was written by Kleckner. Also in the Ol’ Dirty today is an unexpected dis by Julie Lauderbaugh, todays Emerald Commentary writer, and for the record I only played Magic: The Gathering in middle school.

Finally, because Pete has been emotionally unstable since the passing of Maurice Gibb, I felt that I should give him solace by showing him that the remaining Bee Gees, are fighting the good fight to make sure that their brothers death was not due to the involvement of a doctor who still had a grudge over the infamous Disco-era due to his inability to grow an afro.
