Where’s Horowitz when you need him???
A two year college in Southern Cal is apologizing to President Bush for allowing a teacher to require her students to write protest letters about the Iraq situation. The sad thing is, this isn’t the first time said professor has acted in this manner. Kudos for the apology, but the teacher needs to be given some sort of disciplinary action, not for voicing an opinion, but for forcing it upon her students. Its sad to see that the UO faculty has so many dogmatic brethren scattered across the diversity-of-thought devoid landscape that is leftist academia. The Horrowitz speech was right to attack this sort of one-sided crap presented by somone who is supposed to teach students, not hand them their oppinions on a silver platter. I wonder if Jane Cramer will be instituting similar letter writing requirements in her classes this spring, as these two seem cut from the same deformed mold.
