So two U.S. Culture Advisers have resigned over the looting of the Baghdad museum. Good Riddance. I would argue that the administration made a PR mistake in brushing aside criticism of the looting, but they didn’t make in mistake in not allocating forces away from opening torture chambers so they could safe-guard artifacts, precious as they may be. And when you factor in that this was likely an inside job, what more can you say? Sorry. The burden of guilt should be on the looters, not the US. Let them apologize. Remember when L.A. “celebrated” after the Rodney King verdict? Nobody scolded them.
