Going Rogue on Fox
After Sarah Palin stepped down from her position of Alaskan Govenor in July last year it was unclear where her career path would take her. The best selling author has now answered those questions and will be joining the ranks of Fox News as a political analyst.
Palin’s politcal commentary will be made accessible on Fox’s varieties of news platforms including Fox News, Fox Business channel, Fox News Radio and Foxnews.com. In short, she’s now the network’s biggest star. While I can’t blame Fox News for hiring her, it is interesting to see what will happen to the Republican party is Fox continues to sign some of their biggest attractions.
When Palin stepped down she said she would fight for change outside of the governement. I guess punditry is how she will do it.
this could aslo be a warm up for her eventual run on “The View”
No one ever said that pundits couldn’t affect national policy. Just look at Rush Limbaugh – reportedly the ‘Head of the Republican Party’ (Sorry Mr. Steele)
I had always imagined that she was going to get herself involved in lobbyist movements and Republican think-tanks, making a name for herself for a 2012 run for president. That actually seems like a less-likely goal if she signs herself away on a contract to Fox news to be a commentarian (commentator?)
Maybe this is then the lesser of two evils …?
