Graf on Amateur Hour
I haven’t been linking to former OC Editor-in-Chief (and current ODE Opinion Editor) Tyler Graf’s columns this year because, well, complimenting the Emerald comes about as easily for me as playing Waltzing Matilda on a clarinet does to a Border Collie. But Graf’s article on St. Patrick’s Day in today’s paper is damn funny and worth reading if you’re anyone but ‘Nick Schultz’ or ‘Evan’, if only for the fact that he managed to slip a potato joke in past the censors.
Unfortunately my vacation time and travel budget are fairly limited, I’ll be there for a few days in June, though.
Tim: You should come down for Cuatro de Mayo this year.
Also, for my St. Patrick’s day report: I went to the residence of an Irish friend of mine and drank whiskey, mead, and beer. I’d tell you how much fun it was except that I don’t really remember much about that evening at all.
I remember going out drinking, then the next thing I remember is waking up at home…
How about Cinco de Drinko?
Man, I never was much for margaritas, but I sure do miss Cuatro de Mayo.
Bivouac THIS.
Or maybe you inspired him. Whatevs.
Also, scumdouchery is a little different. But as the master of neologisms, I give you proper credit here.
Excuse me, but George Bush invented it, Dan.
t graf rox.
now I’M insulted…
That isn’t funny, Ian…my drunk aunt died from being linked on a blog.
As both coiner of the term “scrumdouchery,” which I’ll forgive Tyler’s misspelling of, and co-founder of Cuatro de Mayo, I’m honored to have co-written that column. Well said, sir!
