Mark your calendars, Sarah’s coming to Eugene

Not Sarah Michelle Geller or Sarah Jessica Parker, but Eugenes own favorite Sarah Palin! According to the Register Guard, she’ll be at the Hilton Eugene April 23 to “speak to the faithful”. My question is whether they’ll have the meeting in the conference center or if they’ll be able to fit everyone in Sarah’s hotel room.

From what the article says, Palin’s coming as a keynote speaker for the republican annual Lincoln Day Fundraiser (they’ll be a few months behind by April 23). Republican Party Leaders have been working for almost a year to bring her to Eugene.

No information was disclosed as to how much it cost the party to bring Palin to Eugene, or how much seating at the convention will cost. Interested Republicans can sign up by calling 541-342-4166.

    Actually, April 23 is Shakespeare’s birthday, not Lincoln’s.
    Much more appropriate for a drama queen.

    We should all get together and rally against her on April 23rd at the Hilton. We should make a statement that we do not support her type of ideology or idiocracy in Eugene, Oregon.

    Just so you know, the event is for Republicans only (they are putting it on, they can control the audience) and it is $250 a person. If you want to go to the reception it is another $1000. I’m very disappointed that I can not go at this price. In past years I have seen Michael Medved and Steve Ford along with others. I have appreciated that they (Lane County Republicans) have brought notable names and kept the price within reason through fundraising. Not this year. Boooo

    When did she become Eugene’s favorite ??? I would not go to see her if you paid me……. I don’t like that you have decided she is our favorite without a vote or just asking, sounds like what a Republican would do!!!!!!
