“We Look Forward To Your Participation In This Experiment In Democracy…”
Heroically undaunted by what happened the last time they tried it – in short, an achin’ world was introduced to Aaron Shakra, and never looked back – the ODE is doing this.
Best of luck to them – either it’s a marvellous smorgasbord of local journalism, or else the Spew section just got a whole lot easier to write. I’ll be tuning in regardless.
They don’t have any granny porn links … yet.
I’d say the best adjective to describe the ODE’s four blogs is BORING. Also, why doesn’t the ODE start small. Maybe, you know, they could have gone with ONE blog … just to see how things would go. I’ll still read it though.
On the bright side, they don’t have any granny porn links on their front page. You have to give them that.
What’s even better is that they still totally don’t get it, as Jarvis would say. The “what’s a blog?” section reads just like it would from the NYT. I guess even the Compies are part of the Old-Media Jurassic Park.
Already we see that, absent their copy-editing wizards, they are worse at typing than we are . . .
Various attempts to spell “initial” include “intial” and, again, “intial.”
“What’s a blog”
“Steven R. Neuman
2005-2005
Online Editor”
“Blogs generally consists of short entries . . . ”
Yeah, so I’m nitpicking. What else can we do for now?
