Mt. Commentator: Dormant, Active, or Just Plain Hot?

The rage agaist the Commentator continues. As far as I know this hasn’t been posted yet.

The laughable quip about the hateful monsters who constitue the Oregon Commentator staff is here, on Portland Independant Media Center’s website. Under (ha) anti-racism, because according to Portland imc, everything is racism.

The posting itself is not much, but one of our biggest Scalia quotin’ fans is taking over comments. Without a Caps Lock or a Shift key.

Forgive me if I have repeated an old joke, I’m an allum living in Cali now and just happened to stumble across all this B.S. a couple of days ago.

Words can’t express how much I am torn between – being glad I’m away from that p.o.s. hippie-liberal campus, and not being there to mock specific idiots in the PFC. It’s somewhat nice reflecting back on campus life and seeing crap like this; it reminds you that when these morons get out into the real world they’ll be eaten alive.

I’d like to see it walk into my company, a rather large bank, and apply for a job based on its transgendered foundation.

    This suggestion seems eerily familiar….

  3. Clint T says:

Can you guys just use the word ‘it’ instead of all this ze/hir/whatever garbage. If someone doesn’t want to join the rest of America and makes us go out of our way not to offend them by choosing the wrong pronoun, then its only proper to offend them in another manner.

  4. M-Dog says:

S/he/ze was still posting there as of two days ago, which leads me to think that our PFC hearing was not the last we’ll hear of this unfounded “hate speech” accusation.

  5. Josh M. says:

This was posted along with the post about Jagernauth’s column in the ODE. Basically, what I got out of the post was that apparently she (or he, or “ze,” I don’t know what kind of name Pira is) doesn’t want the Commentator defunded, but that s/he/ze wants the Commentator to be “held accountable for contributing to hate and violence.” And then s/he/ze claims that this isn’t a free speech issue.

Also, I found it humorous that s/he/ze misused Hill-Meyer’s pronouns in his/her/hir comment.

What a douchebag (not for his/her/hir point of view – well, a little – but for ignorance.
